Blue sky days, new faces & more
Time has flown since our last newsletter in Easter and the park has been absolutely buzzing with activity. We’re thrilled by our current bout of park renovations, with large and small changes noticeable daily. The four cabins closest to the Beach Barn have been closed for a major overhaul and are now looking fantastic, ready for the spring. The grounds are also due for a face-lift with work to start soon.
Although Australia’s weather has proven to be frighteningly erratic this year, Tathra has luckily avoided most of its ferocity. We’ve enjoyed our typical ‘Blue Sky’ winter and have welcomed weather-weary travellers from around the country.
The Tathra Beach GFC is back!
As promised the ‘Great Family Challenge’ will take place again this year from 27-29 September.
We will be challenging families once again to test their abilities in all things ‘camping’ to find the ultimate camping and caravanning family. Those of you who competed last year will recognise some favourite events. There will also be some exciting new challenges for competitors of all ages and skills.

Since Easter we’ve introduced some great new staff members to our exceptional team, bringing with them an awesome range of expertise in so many useful fields.
Jeff our new Maintenance Supervisor (with a background in cooking) has been a real boon to the park and knows how to fix or build ANYTHING.
Shane our new Caretaker/Handyman has proved to be invaluable in many ways. Shane is a Kiwi, but don’t hold that against him. He was a fire fighter and Junior New Zealand All Blacks footballer before he came to us!
Our new General Manager and most recent addition to our already fabulous office staff is Jane, a Tathra local and an enthusiastic people person with tremendous skills in all things administrative. Welcome guys!
Our Friday Pizza Nights have gone from strength to strength. Frank and Michelle have perfected some very popular recipes and are always on the look out for exciting new combinations of ingredients. Our Friday the 13th pizzas: ‘Flesh-Eater’ (meat-lovers) and ‘Burn-in-Hell’ (chilli salami) were a real hit! This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Morning tea is also still going strong, as is our weekly happy hour. A portable stage is the next item on the entertainment team’s shopping list, so stay tuned for some great gigs with Frankie J and friends.
