Newsletter – Easter 2012
So much has happened lately and the adventures don’t stop with the end of summer. Tathra Beach Family Park is proud to be a major sponsor of the Tathra Mountain Bike Enduro, an event that’s gaining international recognition. The Tathra MTB Enduro, held in April is a mountain biking odyssey that pays homage to the early coastal pioneers and captures the best of beaches, forests and the mountains.

What WE did last summer!
Hi everyone. Wow what a summer we’ve had! It’s been a wonderful mixture of old favourites and exciting new activities, and as usual, the time flew way too quickly.
Amongst the highlights was a visit by a whale shark to our very own Tathra Wharf! He hung around long enough for a couple of brave local lads to jump in for a very close encounter!
Best Suggestion for 2011 Winner
The winner for this year's Best Suggestion is Margie Whitworth of Victoria, who suggested we do “Spud Nights” in our Pizza Oven. We have had a few “Spud Nights” and they have been a huge hit! Margie received a $200.00 Tathra Beach Family Park Gift Voucher.
Thanks Margie!
We are running the same promotion in 2012 so get those suggestions in on our Guest's Survey email.

Blue sky days, new faces & more
Time has flown since our last newsletter in Easter and the park has been absolutely buzzing with activity. We’re thrilled by our current bout of park renovations, with large and small changes noticeable daily. The four cabins closest to the Beach Barn have been closed for a major overhaul and are now looking fantastic, ready for the spring. The grounds are also due for a face-lift with work to start soon.
Although Australia’s weather has proven to be frighteningly erratic this year, Tathra has luckily avoided most of its ferocity. We’ve enjoyed our typical ‘Blue Sky’ winter and have welcomed weather-weary travellers from around the country.

The team at Tathra Beach wish you a happy & fun filled Easter & Anzac holiday
We’ve had a fantastic year at the park with lots of improvements both large and small. Our reception building has undergone a major facelift and our grounds have received a smarten up too.
One of our newest acquisitions is the wood-fired pizza oven in the beach barn, designed to take the pressure off the cook of the family. You may also have noticed the introduction of recycle (yellow-lid) bins throughout the park in our effort to offer you a more environmentally friendly service.

Nature at its best
The weather on the Sapphire Coast is quickly warming up and what a spectacular time of year it is! We’ve had whales coming within 200m of the shoreline directly in front of the Park have visited us almost daily. The shows have been remarkable with several calves putting on a beautiful performance. The water is crystal clear and the surf has been providing one of nature’s most popular playgrounds for young and old alike.
